You think WVU basketball looks ugly this season?

Wait till the Big 12 games begin.

Kansas is ranked #1 in both polls. Texas Tech is #11 in both polls. Kansas State is #24 and #25 but the loss of its star player may change that.

I do NOT envy Huggins’ task in trying to bring this moribund team to life enough to compete in the Big 12. Making March Madness will be a pretty big IF, too.

Big 12-2=10 is a one trick pony this season...Kansas and everybody else. However, even though this is shaping up to be a down season in the over hyped conference, the Mountaineers seem to have all kinds of issues. Not sure who we beat inside the conference.

Right now from what I have seen. I think Oklahoma State might be our only shot at a win.

Lon Kruger has done an excellent job in a transition year.

But OU could fall off the table once conference play starts.

Like I have said TCU and Texas are probably the two most dangerous teams.
Looks like TCU is putting all the pieces together.

Interested in seeing Tech vs Duke.
If Tech beats Duke it pretty much means the Big XII has owned the ACC.

The Big XII will continue to get the hype until it proves different.
It is probably the hardest conference to win on the road.
You have probably 5 of the toughest arenas in the country.
Even at the bottom of the conference with Iowa St and Oklahoma St.
Ames and Stillwater are two of the toughest courts to play on.

Oklahoma State is 4-6 only 2-1 at home. Those 2 wins were College of Charleston and UTSA. Oklahoma State is WVU only shot at conference win. WVU is Oklahoma State shot at a Big 12 win. These 2 will battle for last place.

WVU is 3-1 at home. Wins over Pitt, YSU and Rider.

They did slaughter LSU.
LSU has a lot of very talented young players.

Can't remember his name but the HS teammate of Trae Young that plays on Oklahoma St is a player.
He plays very much like his Native ancestry.

When big name school enter Stillwater crazy things happen.
They will get a few teams on their hone court.

But Oklahoma and Baylor are the two other schools that WV needs to beat.

If they can 6-0 or 5-1 against those three they can get into the NCAA.
According to projections WV still has a 26% chance of playing in the NCAA Tournament

Which is your way of saying WVU has a current 74% chance on not playing in the Tournament. You are too much FAKETEXASDUDE.

That is if things play out like many believe.
Even Villanova is only a 77% lock.

Way too early.
WV wins a few games early in conference that number will shoot up.

Most bubble teams are around 50% by February.
But as of now there are way too many teams.

You understand probability....

At the beginning of the season the numbers will be low...
Based on having a lot teams with a chance.
Bubble teams like WV, Oklahoma, Texas, TCU, Kansas St, Iowa St and Baylor will get a chance to eat each other.
Out of those 7 at least 4 possibly 5 will get in.
Big XII is a 7 bid conference right now.
Far from weak. Once again will have the highest percentage of teams in.
