MLB attendance dying, pro sports $ will fall all across board

Jordan will eventually sell that dope small franchise and nobody will spend more than $700 million on that cheap franchise. Next owner will probably move them to a better NBA city like Seattle. Orlando is also a joke NBA city.
Now you are catching on, Hornets have now jumped in your assessment from 400mill to 700 mill...

Shirley Knott enjoy no tradition pro sports. I’ll enjoy fall Saturdays. College football way more exciting. I’ll take the college sports experience over pro any day.

I’m going with WVU sports over your boring pro sports. Have fun crazy Shirley.

Actually the Hornets probably would only sell for $400 million now. That’s weak. There a lowly weak franchise.

If it sold it would only go for $400 million if that. That franchise is such a epic fail Jordan only paid $150 million for it. A lot of NBA franchises would not even sell for a billion. Everything is high dollar expensive in this day and age and most NBA franchises won’t sell for a billion.

All would sell for 1 billion right now.....literally sourced in this thread

Let it burn

NBA in Charlotte among several NBA cities is a bust, failure. They will be in Seattle eventually. Already whispers. Orlando, Charlotte have no business having NBA teams. There are plenty of others who won’t miss an NBA thug, bozo team. Let em go! Who would care? Lol

Dude they would never sell for a billion. Not even close. Those failing loser franchises which is half of league would never sell for that much.

With prices, costs in 2018 at a rediculous high. If a pro franchise can’t sell for a billion or barely that, your small time.

Fact is that most NBA franchises wouldn’t sell for a billion. Several of the weakest, cheapest wouldn’t even sell for half a billion.

Keatoncornerloser everything is going up in cost in this day and age but the NBA worth is not high for modern times cause the NBA is dying.

Again, no business man would spend a billion on most NBA franchises. Those crap, troubled NBA teams wouldn’t sell for 500 million.

Half of the NBA owners lost money last year with their struggling NBA franchises. There real $ came from the real estate businesses, other businesses.

The Rockets are one of the top franchises in NBA. 20 out of the 30 teams are losing money. Empty arenas, dying fan support.

Keatoncornerloser might be the only NBA fan left. Let it burn.

Your making up stuff. Dude look it up. Half of NBA owners lost money last year. NBA is a dying dog.

Fact is half of NBA owners lost money. Lots of selling to get away from dying business. NBA has big issues. Empty arenas, dying fan support. Low ratings will continue. Nobody watches.

Keaton...give it up. We all know you lovvvvvveeeee basketball. But for most of the country...unless you live in a city area who cares about the NBA. Really. They are a non event for most Americans.

Also not a fact

“I’m old and I don’t watch NBA so that means no one does.... probably”

lol

Keaton...just head on over to the street court in your neighborhood shot a little hoops and hang. You will feel better about things.

Rootmaster so true. No one watches NBA anymore. Talk to a young person, they don’t watch either. The NBA audience is 99% the northeast and even most of them have become disinterested, Los Angeles, or wherever a local NBA team is winning. Other than that nobody follows the NBA. 80% of the USA doesn’t follow the NBA. NBA will be broke in 10 years or they will have to lower pay significantly. Big troubles on way.

Keatoncornerloser lives in his head. The trailer park population doesn’t follow WVU or any college sports. The ghetto mostly like pro sports. The college educated, suburban tend to swing more towards college sports.

Do you wear a pointy white hat and cape?

Also black youth are the only demographic that gets excited about NBA basketball. That’s because nobody takes them to the great college football or college basketball growing up. Their parent or parents don’t introduce them to anything related to a college campus. The only thing they know is to look up to the millionaire pro athlete with 80 tattoos and bad attitudes. They don’t get introduced to the great college tradition, pride of college sports. It’s pathetic.

I would like to get people to fund money to help poor children be able to go to big time college sports growing up. It would help them focus on getting on a college campus and the true meaning of college tradition, pride. The ghetto and the trailer park don’t get the opportunity to go to college sports. It’s sad.

NBA is in its second-most-watched season ever. ESPN, which has telecast 30 games since the season’s Oct. 17 opener, said that average viewership has soared 18 percent, to 1.8 million a game, from this point last year.

TNT, with 16 NBA telecasts to date, said its average is up 25 percent, to 2.1 million viewers. Even NBA TV, with 41 telecasts, is up 25 percent, to 365,000.

The averages, taken collectively, make for the hottest start since the 2010-11 season — the year LeBron James abandoned the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat.

Central to the NBA’s rise is its success in focusing the league’s many dramas on the game itself — an area where the NFL has failed miserably, experts say.

Experts point to last season’s rousing finale — a five-game face-off between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers — which gave the NBA its best ratings since Michael Jordan quit the game in 1998.

The NBA’s off season happenings have given the league an all-year presence, creating a virtuous circle other pro sports can only dream about.

Most-watched finals on ABC, to second-most-watched draft, to most-watched Summer League and now to second-most-watched start.

WVUallen the poor white kid from the trailer park also will never go to a college sport or any sport. It’s sad. Your average poor white kid from the trailer park will never be interested in college sports. The NCAA or Universities should fund some money to get poor kids at the games. Build more fans support and opportunity for others to maybe one day attend a game or the university.

Those are still very small ratings. The NBA won’t survive with that. Big troubles will continue for NBA in future. Nobody is watching NBA. The country is 2 times bigger than 30 years ago but the ratings suck. That’s because nobody watches much. NBA is pretty dead.

All this financial advice from someone who wants WVU to leave the B-12 and return to a split BEast which would payout around 6mill per year...Count me out...
