Take a look over on the Buckeye board after the loss to Michigan State if you are so inclined. I went to look after some of my Buckeye friends and a couple of family members were giving the "Gloom, despair and agony on me" spiel.

What I saw just baffled me... There are some there that have already 'lost faith' in Urban Meyer... No joke! That Buckeye squad loses one game after this man helped deliver another National Championship to your school just 11 months ago and already you are losing faith?

If we had the same resources, championships and choice recruits to pick from as they do, I think most of us wouldn't be complaining too much... at least at this juncture knowing where WVU stands at the present time in CFB history. Yes, we wouldn't have a perfect season every year, but to see that kind of fickleness from fans such as those? Really? I would love to have ONE... JUST ONE National Championship in my lifetime. They have... What? Seven or eight and with one loss... the world is ending?

That folks is a prime example of what 'Fairweather Fans' look like... Spoiled! With many that still thumb their noses at those of us who are WVU fans. I simply am shaking my head at what I see, but have to chuckle at the fact that some look like they are about ready to jump off the building after one loss. It baffles me...

Just my $.02

What a great day to be a Butteye!! NOT!!!! May there be a Michigan sweep and let the bodies pile up under the bridges. Ya gotta love it! Especially living among the buckeye forest.

I won't be rooting for Michigan in this, despite RRod being gone. But just baffled at the fickleness of Buckeye fans after just one loss and with the prestige and championships they have already. Meyer knows how to win and has a history of winning... I just don't get the crying and whining. lol! Oh well, let them sulk and come back down to Earth.

How many years in a row have the beat Michigan? They may be burning some thing in Ann Arbor if Michigan wins

There's a good chance that could happen this weekend... the potential of the whole state of Ohio set ablaze Saturday evening from rioting after getting beaten by both major Michigan teams two weekends in a row.

truthfully, it's just how things are today with this Facebook, texting generation. Instant gratification or else mentality. Most are too stupid (look at the educational cutbacks) to know what they are talking about on any topic in this country and world today. Yet, everyone is an expert lol. They disrespect everyone in places of authority and knowledge. Just give me what I want now because I'm entitled. "Ohio state owes ME a National Championship". Same as those demanding everything else in this country. It's a disgrace. Our founding fathers and ancestors would be ashamed.

I think Michigan wins and BIG!!!

It wouldn't shock me to see Harbaugh have Michigan go for 2 leading big late the way he did vs USC in Carrols last season. Harbaugh can and will have Michigan winning again. The guy can coach.

I think it will be similar to the result of their matchup with Penn State Saturday, but it could go the way most of the classic Ohio State/Michigan games of many moons ago have gone. Some even as recent as the days of Carr and Cooper coaching both teams.

Ohio State has the second largest contingent of Fans-Who-Never-Went-To-School-There; hence the immediate displeasure and the Millennial Factor.

Notre Dame is the largest of the afore mentioned fan base. Michigan is third, BTW.

You can GTS it.

Kind of like the Miami Hurricane 'fans' wearing all that green or orange merchandise (mostly those Starter jackets in the winter)... You see them in places like Seattle, Minneapolis or Salt Lake City... Since they haven't been doing as well since joining the ACC... Those 'fans' all but completely disappeared.

100% reason why I con't stand OSU. I like their coach and have no issues with the school itself. The fans are just unbearable. The funny part is 90% of OSU fans are Bungle and Brownie NFL fans and they complain the Steeler fans are idiots?!?

Classic pot meeting kettle.

I don't just drink your tears; I chug them! Too many insanely jealous posts in this thread to respond to them all. Suffice it to say that I want the Great Urban Meyer to end his career in Columbus, and, unlike 99.9% of WVU fans, I actually graduated from the school for which I root. If one fan base should know how silly stereotypes are, it is Mountaineer Nation. Good luck in your rivalry game on Saturday!

NWS issued flood warnings for Ohio due to all the tears after the loss to Sparty. LOL
Urban was a POS when he was at Florida, according to OSU fans. Now they worship the ground he walks on.

Um, yeh, the Steeler fans are idiots. Make no mistake about that.

So are you a Bungle fan or a Brownie fan?

BTW...WVU grad here. Most here are from my best guess. Try again.

There is nothing jealous about what most of us are mentioning. Most of us as WVU fans would be pretty satisfied with even half of the prestige, resources, history and tradition that Ohio State and most other big name schools have had. What I am talking about is the fact that so many Buckeye fans are ready to jump off the building (bridge, cliff, etc...) because they lost ONE GAME, consistently remain in the top 10, but immediately start losing faith in Meyer to get things done. That alone baffles me!

Being a realist doesn't mean that the expectation to win a National Championship is going to happen every year. I WOULD expect to win whatever bowl game occurs if somehow my team doesn't get into the Final Four though. If I were a die hard Buckeye fan, no, I wouldn't like the fact I loss to Sparty over the weekend, but I would darn sure be PI**ED OFF if my team lost to Michigan. That would be like WVU losing to Pitt for me...

Oh and BTW... I don't have much love for the Wolverines, so best wishes this weekend.

For the record, and I'm happy to say it:
WVU COE (3 time, 3 time, 3 time grad)
BSCE 1996
BSME 1999
MSME 2000

Btw you do know Harbaugh will make Urban have health issues again don't you? Much the same way he had Sabanitis and Myles Syndrome in the SEC.

Here's my take on what's going on. Fans just want to Win. They do not comprehend that for every game played.............one of the teams and their fans must Lose. I finally get this fact and have moved on. I am well pleased with this years Mountaineer football team. Sports are simply entertainment. The shiny shoes are cashing in on the ignorance and arrogance of fans.

I usually don't respond to vapid statements like this, but what the heck.
I don't suppose you have the nuts to admit to who you root for, since that team obviously doesn't have any idiot fans (present company excluded of course).
