played a practice round with the wife today at The Woods getting ready for tomorrow.shot 82....made a 2 on number 9 and number 11......incredibly hot...near 100....course was really good especially the greens........captains choice tomorrow....hope I play this good then

Is number 9 the signature hole, the Par 3 you hit down to? Beautiful hole, and a fun shot to hit.
yes.....I hit it behind the hole and sucked it back to within a foot for an easy one......really cool sign on a bench near the tee....some lady made a hole in one there and then died a year later nearly on the same day...then her husband died a year after that....really touching memorial......it was playing 113 for me today...hadn't been to The Woods in 20 years...much better today than then
I was about to say it's been about 20 years since I last played there. Hell, I was still in my prime when I last played it. Depending on the wind, direction and speed, you could hit several different clubs each time you played it. I remember not having a clue what club to hit the very first time I was on the box.
