I saw some things Saturday that deeply concern me about the Cousins football team. I don't have the heart to rag their self important delusional asses now because I know it hurts to lose! But I saw some quit in that football tam on Saturday, BU is not a world beating football team themselves but the Mounties laid down for them. Doege is the worst QB in recent memory for the Mounties but Brown refuses to bench him in favor of Greene who at least has some wheels. I fear the Cousins will not taste victory again this year until they play the mighty Jayhawks to end this season of misery! Your thoughts but remember to be kind.

I was getting new tires at Firestone on Saturday, so missed most of the game, but saw the scores posted on my phone. Got home just in time to watch a single play of the game, and that was a Baylor running back scampering 33 yards for a score. WVU players were waving at him as he ran past. Watched UT-OU after seeing that one play.

Thinking the coach lost the team early last year, during the fiasco with their DC. Herd appears to have had similar issues at the end of last year, as well as maybe once again this year. You pretty much have to tear it all down, and rebuild from scratch, starting at the top. The old German saying is that a 'Dead Fish begins to Stink at the Head".

I have to admit, I have not seen the past two games due to more important family events. One being my 3 year old grandson’s first soccer game. Nothing like watching half of the team actually trying to kick the ball and the other half just running in circles.

It has been clear from the start of the season that this team does not have a quarterback ready to take the field, let alone get in the huddle, grab a few face masks and take command of the offense.
That one key position would cover up the lack of depth at running back and make the defense have to play. Right now they just take away the run and let the QB spot be our downfall.

I am not giving up on the team and Brown is building the program with recruiting and he just does not have all the tools in the toolbox as of yet.

Yes, I remember that play, it shocked me the lack of effort.

He has to play Greene doesn't he?

You seem to be a bit bipolar, Tony. Before Saturday's game, you were telling your cousins that they were going to beat Baylor, but only a few days later, you're predicting a 3-9 freefall of a season. I think that the Old Fold & Blew is a bad offensive football team, and Kneel Brown coaches like Jim Tressel, without the thoroughbred horses that Ohio State had back in the day. His coaching style leaves a very thin margin for error. In addition to beating woeful Kansas, I could see WVU beating at least one other conference foe, and maybe two. Kansas State is always unathletic, and Gary Patterson is the most overrated coach in America, so either KSU or TCU is a possible victim. Further, Iowa State hasn't handled high expectations well, and Gundy usually loses at least one game that he shouldn't lose, so Texas might be the only almost sure loss left on the schedule. Having stated all of this, WVU hasn't won a road game since 2019, and its lesser opponents are on the road, with the much tougher teams traveling to Morganhole. This isn't a recipe for success, needless to say.

At this point yes. He can’t be much worse than the current one in passing and at least he would tuck the ball run rather than take a sack. He has 2 weeks to get him ready and if he is going to do it, now would be the time.

No, I said they had a chance of beating a not very good Baylor outfit but after that performance on Saturday I think "freefall" is a fair description of where the 2021 edition of Mountie football is headed. TCU will just outscore them and KSU will outfight them, IMHO!

Yeah, I don't see where there is much to lose at this point. The status quo won't yield any change in results!
