a little birdie told me that Justin Johnson has failed three drug tests..once for marijuana, once for cocaine, and again for cocaine..then he says..I personally don't care.. what an a-hole.

Assuming this is Dustin Johnson to which you claim Bamberger is "snitching", allow me to say that I've neither seen, read, nor heard his claims.

However, the notion that Johnson MAY previously have suffered substance abuse problems IS fairly well known among golf fans (including yours truly)......though it admittedly has NEVER been reported publicly. In any event, I think using the word "snitch" to describe Bamberger in this particular context is inappropriate; I mean, this is the kind of stuff "reporters" have trying to, well, report since the first one was hired. BTW, for all I know, Bamberger may indeed be an asshole.

That also doesn't mean you have to agree with (or support) what you claim he's "snitching" about. And just for the record......while I'm pulling for Spieth.....I'd be perfectly delighted to see DJ win his first major this weekend.

he said it on national tv a few hours ago..Greg Norman looked like he would rather be somewhere else.why bring it up two hours before he tee's off even if it's true?..A-hole

there was a lot of talk just before he took his "vacation" that if he didn't voluntarily the PGA would do it for him.....I guess everyone's life today is an open book because of social media........I'm a Spieth fan too but I'd like to see Jason Day win this just because of his physical problem....I had a bout of vertigo years ago and couldn't imagine trying to play golf while suffering from it

I also battle vertigo. Nothing compared to what Jason Day is experiencing. On a daily basis, I can't balance myself even putting on my underwear or pants without sitting down or propping myself up. It most certainly does affect me on the golf course especially if it is hot or I am not getting enough fluids. Last weekend, it affected me during my round on about 10 shots and I miss three easy birdie putts as I was wavering while standing over the ball and I didn't come close to htting the line. My round yesterday was not affected at all with it.

I'm good with Day winning as he is a top notch player and I've been a fan of his for quite sometime. Do not want Grace. DJ would be a good winner but I most certainly will be pulling for Spieth today.

I'm certainly with you guys about Day as well......excellent player, quality guy, arguably overdue to win a major, and obviously a compelling story with this vertigo issue. And while he's not a "homeboy" like Spieth and DJ, he's a strongly committed US Tour player; something which will ALWAYS work against public support here for guys like Grace coming across from the Euro Tour.

Also, do I recall that Day is a resident of Columbus......and is a member at Muirfield Village ???

Yes, Day's wife is from Columbus and he is a member at Muirfield as Columbus is his adopted home town.

Has anyone heard/read about the formula as to how the last two groups were paired ?? I myself expected the USGA would pair DJ and Spieth in the last group, but that obviously hasn't happened. I suspect there's some standard methodology for multi-player ties for weekly Tour events, but I wouldn't necessarily assume the USGA follows PGA convention.

I'm thinking TGC might have explained the pairing setup when they came on the air, but I didn't have it on at the time......and I haven't heard anything since I turned it on at little after noon.

Was it my imagination or was the crowd noise more constant, sometimes raucous and louder than what we usually hear? To follow Day to the bathroom was utterly pathetic. What were they thinking?

It is pretty standard that the first one in the clubhouse with the same score being 1a so that is Day. DJ finished next so he is 1b. Grace is 1c and Spieth is 1d. This is typical for the PGA tour and the USGA events.

couldn't get back to you yesterday....sorry to hear about the vertigo......is there a workable treatment for it..?

I'm wrong person to ask. I've been diagnosed but have never moved forward with any treatment.

My wife has vertigo episodes. Her doctor recommended that she lower her salt intake and avoid high salt foods. It appears to be working.

I had an inner ear thing a while back that gave me temporary vertigo like symptoms...would NOT want to live with it full time......on a different note...my tomatoes suck so far....I've got romas and hillbillys and neither are up to my standards...wife not happy......been eating cucumbers for two weeks though
