Miami Ohio is licking their chops

I have a big 2 day scramble event on Wednesday/Thursday of next week at a brand new course - Stoatin Brae - Practically right next to my house.

I'm not fond of this style of golf course, and will likely need to keep running back to the house to pick up additional sleeves of balls. Fortunately, it's a 4 person scramble, so cheating will likely be abundant. I hate these 4 person scrambles for that very reason. I prefer 2 person or 3 person, where two groups play together.

A loss there, and the season will be a painful one for the 15,000 in attendance.
We'll have a good crowd for the Miami game, probably in the 30,000 range but your point is well taken if we lose and look bad doing it....won't be able to start a good fight at the Kent State game!

I don't play those style courses very well either...a hint...stay out of the bunkers...what kind of grass is on those greens that far in the great white north?

You talking about the kind we smoke, or the kind we putt on? Big difference. I haven't been there yet, but I'm guessing it's bent grass. Is it pentcross (spelling) that's good in both extreme hot and cold conditions? It really doesn't matter to me what type of grass is on the greens, as I generally am provided gimmes anywhere within 30 feet of the cup.

penncross is what I had on my course....very old grass type...it doesn't smoke well though...unless you just sprayed chemicals[smoke]:pimp:[jumpingsmile]
