Men's Swimmers Complete Season at NCAA Championships[/B]
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 28, 2015) -[/B] The West Virginia University men's swimming team completed the third and final day of competition, today, at the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Iowa City, Iowa.
Junior Andrew Marsh and Senior Tim Squires were each in action on Saturday, participating in the men's 100-yard freestyle.
Squires, a Buckhannon, West Virginia, native, raced to a 42nd-place finish in the prelims of the 100-yard freestyle in 43.94 in his final competition as a Mountaineer. Marsh placed 46th overall in 100-yard freestyle in 44.21.
"Andrew and Tim had solid swims and both had good weeks," said coach Vic Riggs. "It was great to see their excitement and desire to swim well and represent West Virginia University."
Marsh and Squires qualified for the NCAA Championships after hitting a time standard in their respective events.
The end of competition on Saturday signifies the end of the 2014-15 season for both the men's and women's squads.
