I wonder what bone-headed move he pulled? Obviously NO coach who only plays about 7 guys per game wants one of his key guys to be gone for any reason. Must have been a doozie!!!!
Bad attitude, not hustling, leaving bench to go to locker room during game with WVU without permission because he was upset with the coach, refusing to stretch and warmup with teammates the next day at practice when told to by coach. This has been coming for some time. The Iowa State seniors have not accepted the new coach since Fred Hoiberg left for the Bulls. They were doing what they wanted to , running the team and he finally decided to put his foot down. Will be interesting to see where this goes!
Sounds like the coach was trying to ride it out but it became obvious that they are not going to finish at the top of the conference race he had to step and take control so that he could control his own future at ISU.
