into its athletic department.

While he was at UNLV, as deputy AD and briefly interim AD, the Running Rebels won the national basketball title and 13 Mountain West Conference titles.

Jerry switched to the University of Albany in New York as deputy athletic director and the Great Danes won the American East tournaments in both men's and women's basketball, so both will be in the NCAA tournaments.

This guy is a good luck charm. And a WVU graduate. And a Monongah High graduate.

Alabama did pretty well by hiring a Monongah High grad as its head football coach. So did LSU and Michigan State.

Coincidence? Maybe. But I'm just saying, hiring Jerry might be better than trying to steal a Leprechaun's gold at the end of the rainbow or scooping up a pasture full of 4-leaf clovers.

Jerry and titles seem to follow each other around.

But he is a Monongah guy. You know, the high school that won five football and one baseball state titles before it went out of existence in 1980.
