there weren't many. purdue, maybe minnesota..... both easy maryland wins. maryland's back court will be the best we see this year. i think we have to hope the one day of prep works in our favor.

Not saying they won't. But that ticket hasn't been punched yet.

they might not if valpo keeps hitting 3's

we're better.

but so is maryland. it will be our toughest game of the year. i'm hoping valpo can go on a run

I see Maryland beat Iowa St. and Okie St. in Nov. and Dec. They may be better than I thought.

I think the teams' overall performance this year are pretty close... but 7 (I think) of our losses came from teams already out of the tournament...

It will definitely be one of the toughest games we've had all year. A lot of things are going to have to go right for us to pull off the win.

I don't think they're going to be one of these teams to turn the ball over 25 times against us, but it is a little strange that they are like 290th in the NCAAs in assists per game.

MD is good... ...very good imo.

I'm curious though, do you REALLY BELIEVE we'll win by ten or are you simply being a 'loyal fan' ??

I mean...do you really like the matchup ??

Probably a little homerism but I just feel good that on one days rest and preparation our press will rattle them. I think the pressure is off is after winning yesterday and I love our chances.

I agree with this. We win if Devin is good to go and somebody, anybody (paige, carter, or dax) has a great shooting day.

Yea we need at least one hot hand. It would also be nice if Holton stayed out of foul trouble as our press is much better with him and we cod use him around the rim on both ends.

I agree that the pressure of winning that 1st game is over. I look for a better performance tomorrow.

Maryland's the most overrated team in the entire tournament. They were 12-1 in games that were decided by fewer than six points or less. I think WVU can force the ball into the hands of the bigs and take it from them. If we don't quit playing on the offensive end and try to milk the clock, they're going to pound Maryland.

We need Holton to play at least 18 minutes, 20 would be more ideal.

He only played 9 minutes yesterday.

He's gotta stay out of foul trouble. Even when he's not lighting up the score-sheet, he does so many other good things especially on the defensive side. He needs to play almost half a game. If he does, I like our chances. If he gets into early foul trouble and has to sit 3/4 of a game, that hurts our chances. He has a strong motor and is a bundle of hustle and intensity but he has to cut down on his fouls, especially the bad ones.

I agree Beer. He has really good rebounder and defender and we seem to play with more energy when he's in there. He just needs to quit reaching in.
