Huntingtown (Md.) 2025 defensive lineman Evan Powell was really impressed with his visit to West Virginia and told me that it was great getting to meet head coach Neal Brown and defensive line coach AJ Jackson. It was Jackson that offered him after the end of the spring game and he told me that it felt great. Both of the coaches told him that they really liked what he put on film and he could be a good fit for the program at the defensive end spot due to his quickness, ability to use his hands and his pass rush. It was the first offer for Powell and he told me that he definitely is going to come back for another look although right now he has no other visits set. One of the things that really stood out to him was the energy and how up front the coaches were to him while he was on campus. He also was really impressed with the fan base and how welcoming they were, too.
