We were never playing Eastern Kentucky on an annual basis on a neutral court and splitting the gate. So yeah, we're sure.
No hate to it. I don't mind playing them every few years. As a practical matter, we don't need them on the schedule every year, in that venue.ha.. we play the likes of eastern kentucky every year. i'd rather play marshall - way more exciting than the directional kentuckys and better for our rpi. so many other flagship universities play their little brothers on a neutral court.
i dont get all the silly hate

imho, we're coming off a little greedy here
I guess that works for them. Maybe someday Marshall will be back on the schedule.neutral court. mich state only gets 50% of the revenue when they play oakland in palace every year.
imho, we're coming off a little greedy here
I know Marshall grads typically end up on welfare... ...so maybe WVU shouldn't encourage them by giving their school a charity game.
Did Oakland coach call the Spartans "scared if they don't want to play us twice a year"? One cannot make this stupid stuff up.neutral court. mich state only gets 50% of the revenue when they play oakland in palace every year.

ha. odd that we need the money so badly with all that b12 revenue. but maybe it's the travel cost
Oh... ...so maybe we should just fund their entire athletic department... ....seeing how we have all this extra money.

You actually sound like many people abusing welfare... ....you know the rich have more than they need so they should give it away because, well, I deserve it for absolutely no reason.
Personal ? It's not like I wrote you were abusing welfare. ....but now I wonder why you felt it was personal.
Michigan State plays that game in Detroit because nearly half their roster is from near that area and Detroit is a big recruiting ground
It also isn't played at the Palace annually... Yet another Paper lie
silly
The silly part of this thread is you attempting to play the victim.
if you are going to be the board ass... at least own it.
Easy there Champ.... ...I'm not looking to steal your title.
actually, it seems like you're making that up. even if true, any silly personal stuff like that could only add to the excitement in this game

2nd paragraph. I can't believe you never heard of this.
Calling a person a 'clown' isn't a personal insult ?
I thought you were attempting to show that's beneath you.
Michigan State vs Oakland is a good example.
Give us another who plays neutral site and splits the gate.
You are right. I was trying to give him a tiny bit of credit for coming up with one example that almost backs up his argument. Being to nice gets me in trouble sometimes. I guess this is a good example. No it wasn't. Michigan State has played that game at home in previous years.

Just more lies.... This was the first year the game was in The Palace
But name another..... After all, it is happening everywhere, right?
Played in East Lansing in 2014 and 2012....
MSU refused to play the game @Oakland due to ticket demand.....
But again I ask....... That is one example. Provide another.
Like I said, MSU playing in Detroit is nothing like the Classic as:
- the game allows many MSU players a chance to play near home
- provides coverage to a strong reciting ground
- not a 50/50 split..... Seeing as how the contract requires a MSU home game every other year
- Oakland and MSU have a history of hiring each other's former players for coaching jobs
- Oakland is a far better basketball program, annually, than Marshall
" so many other flagship universities play their little brothers on a neutral court. "
Can't name a single game outside of the home and neutral arrangement of MSU/Oakland
