These figures don't lie, either, Snow Sled: Ohio State is ranked No. 6 in football, and No. 23 in basketball, and WVU is ranked No. 15/16 in football, and unranked in basketball. Yet, WVU fans continue to flap their gums at me. You have to admit that tOSU is clearly better than WVU in athletics. What's good for the goose...

The reason that you didn't hear much, if anything, about it is that the Blew and Fold media is full of WVU homers, who protect Morganhole with every fiber of their beings. To be honest, I wish that the Columbus media were more like them, but most of them are sharks, who want to take Ohio State down.

I personally would like to see us play...then WVU would, as in the words of Coach Stew..."leave no doubt" about the disparity between the 2 programs......I could go for a 4 for 1 in football and in basketball we could do a morgantown..neutral site...morgantown......huntington.....something like that maybe if the doctrine can keep his mouth shut.....I'll give it further thought and then my people will contact your people

A couple of things wrong with that. First, the past has already proven that there is "no doubt" about which program is better, in both sports. Secondly, Marshall has no problem doing one and done games with other major programs, but they demand home and home or none whenever WVU comes into the conversation. Truth be told, they want no part of getting beat by WVU yet again, as has happened so many times in the past, even in their best years, and hence the "they are skeered to play us" rhetoric. So I say let 'em keep whining. Forever.
Buzz, Spain was once the undisputed most powerful Nation State on Earth but not so much these days, things change! We do 2:1 in football and would consider that again. No excuse for cancelling the basketball game in Charleston or moving it to home and home except pure arrogance!
The point you're missing is that Marshall is just another G-5 in football, and just another mid-major in basketball. We can schedule lots of those that will play in Morgantown expecting nothing in return other than a pay day. And besides, it's not WVU's job to sell tickets at the Joan or the Cam.
How many in attendance for the Monmouth tilt...MU would sell tickets and it's a game that gets noticed throughout the entire state! But if you don't want to play...don't play! It's just a game , nothing more!
