that is very true. and you can look at many things we could have done better in the game last night. but what really jumps out at me as how many more 3-pt shots KU made relative to their average. and as simplistic as it sounds, if they make 2 less 3-pointers (so they would be 7 of 15 instead of 9 of 15 or if they only shot 47% which would still have been above their season average) and we make 2 more 3-pointers (so we make 4 of 15 instead of 2 of 15 or 27% which would have still been below our average of 33%), we are looking at a game that comes down to a last shot. Yes, that is a simplistic way of looking at it and many other factors could have made a difference (less turnovers, more offensive rebounds with second chance points, etc), but it is still amazing to me that with all the things that did not go our way, just a couple of 3-pointers either way could have been a W for us.
We can and will play with anyone and this should be a very fun tournament for us. Would not surprise me at all if we are still playing when Kansas is watching from home.
