...and the ACC is truly earning their All Criminal Conference title.

Disgusting.

Lonnie will get fired for this (as he should) in order to be an escape goat for Bobby "Road Rash" Petrino.

Just read the UL board on Rivals. It was kind of like reading the Ped State board a few years ago

Common themes (at least 1/2 that board buys into these)
1) UL isn't the only ACC team that did this. Big deal.
2) No need to fire anyone besides Galloway.
3) Road Rash Petrino wasn't involved with the defense, so he wouldn't have known about this issue at all.
4) Wake admitted they didn't use the plays that were found (which totally made sense since WF found the stolen plays BEFORE the game happened)...so what's the big deal?

No joke...and these views aren't isolated. They are being "liked" by other UL posters. Any contrarian/ethical posters there are getting chewed up and spit out and are being treated like traitors that want to bring down the UL program....as if it's possible to bring it any lower.

If someone is trying to give our coaches inside info towards next week's opponent, I hope we take it and say "Thank you!"

Our coaches are in the business of winning.......... and there is nothing unethical with receiving information.

Coaches will use any advantage they can get. Dana was extremely upset with Bedenbaugh at half time of the Oklahoma game for the things they were doing. Bedenbaugh knew our system and used that info to OU's advantage to the point they got in our players head and the result was frustration and penalties. Dana confronted Bedenbaugh at halftime if you saw it.

It is definitely unethical.
You are basically having an unfair schematic advantage. It is worse than spy gate in the NFL cause college game plans aren't near as complex as the pros. It is the difference between basic math and calculus.

And I would expect nothing more from any coach at the U of L, where coaches gone wild makes Animal House looks like Basic Training in the military. If Art Bryles had coached at Louisville he would still be coaching. Those guys are like Teflon there. They can do whatever they want.

Does unethical behavior go on everywhere? Yes
Don't get me wrong. I would say any asst or head coach in the biz would take inside info from an upcoming opponent. Somehow at Louisville with Petrino/Pitino/Jurich it just fits that much more. Heck the ACC actually is making the SEC look more and more pure everyday.

This also tells me Wake Forest is probably an 8 win team without this Elrod guy. Look at some of their losses (Cuse and BC). They only beat Tulane 7-3. My Lord, Kansas could put 14 on Tulane.

....the right way.

This is ethically slimy. If someone from WF screws up and leaves a playbook in the UL locker-room by accident, that is more a WF issue than a UL issue. If a OC on WF doesn't hide/change his signals then again that is more of a WF issue than a UL issue. Those are issues WF can (and should) control.

Getting clearly illicitly gained info from a scumbag turncoat without WF being aware is way more a UL issue than a WF issue.

NFL teams sign players recently cut from their next opponent's roster............. bring them in for 2 days...... have them spill their guts to the film room.......... and then cut them after the game on Sunday

it's a competition. What UofL is completely legal. They took what was offered. They didn't buy. They didn't steal. They didn't bribe.

Again different. The Steelers make a choice to cut someone who has knowledge of their team knowing this can happen. They can control this by not cutting him and or changing signals based on who they choose to cut and what position they play and when the team that picked him up is on their schedule.

This, on the other hand, offers none of those countermeasures. It literally undermines the fabric of fair play and sportsmanship.

BTW.....at least Whit gets it. This shit is going to get really messy.

It's still mostly a Wake Forest issue.
