Maddox and Jarret were strong. Those guys play the way I would imagine Narduzzi wants the whole team to play like. Many bright spots.

A very sour note for me:

Whoever is in charge of the pre-game music must be fired immediately. There was a song that was played that had dozens of references to n---ers and mother f----rs. There were at least 2 more songs with profanity and a couple more with violent and or sexually explicit lyrics. It was disgusting. I had some kids with me and the entire Voytik clan was in front of me and they were mortified. Ironically, one song after the horrifying one referenced earlier, the PA announcer read a PSA about foul language. I'm embarrassed to be associated with Pitt as a result of this. It is unacceptable and a public apology is needed and some folks need to be gone. If this ever happens again, I'm done with Pitt for good.

I never understood this obsession with contemporary music, as if it has to be played because it's some great music in our history or something. It's like every sports venue has to play certain music just to cater to the young crowd. But they're not the one's paying the bills. The vast majority of people in the stands are the donors and "older" crowd.

It was probably some rap music they were playing. You hear that constantly at sporting events.

I like rap but I especially like anything with melody. But a lot of that rap music doesn't get filtered like it should. There's way too much foul language to be playing to a family atmosphere. I guess the people in charge of music at these places think just because it's rap it must automatically be cool and accepted no matter what.

I just never understood the fact that we've got at least 70 years of incredible music and many places play the same five song over and over each week.
