It's been a while since I've posted here, although I do stop by to read occasionally. It's amazing how time slips by.
Nonetheless, I'm hoping the members of this site can help me and that you don't mind me posting this here. I'm wanting to add a "Mountaineer Fan" section to my historical animated gifs blog (https://morgantownhistory.wordpress.com/) and I'm hoping some of you can help.
What I'm looking for are pre-1990 photos of people in front of a dorm, a fraternity/sorority, an apartment/house, the old stadium, a WVU building, etc. I'd also like some celebratory photos of Sunnyside when it was in its heyday as a college student area and any of the old Grant Street block parties. You do not have to be in WVU garb but I do need the background to be recognizable even if the background has been drastically altered (i.e. the house has been torn down).
If you can identify where and when (even if it's an estimate of the year) the photos were taken that would be a big help. I can't promise I'll use your photo since all photos can't be recreated for various reasons and I have no idea of the volume I might receive. Also, I need the photos in digital format. I can be reached via the email address listed on the blog. If you have any pre-1950 photos of Morgantown I'd be interested in those as well.
