Look, they installed a dotard and ran the country behind the curtain.
The "smartest people" had carte Blanche to pass and do whatever they wanted for 4 years. They had a willing, uniparty congress to grant them unlimited funding and laws to do whatever they wanted for 4 years.
The "smartest people in the room" had all that, and what did they accomplish for the people of the country?
Poverty, hopelessness, crime, homelessness, strive, chaos inside the country, and a world on fire.
Maybe it's time to consider that the "smartest people in the room" are not half as bright as the will of the people and that the citizens of this nation know better than them.....
They had it all: unlimited, unchecked power, unlimited funds, no rules, no oversight and they ****ed everything up to the point where the majority of citizens of the country can barely afford to feed themselves....and they accomplished nothing positive or lasting in their quest.
And for those saying it was the intent of them to do this. So what? That just proves they are even more stupid than people can understand. They had it all. Unlimited power and unlimited funds and instead of making it so they could have UNCONTESTED power forever by making sure the people were happy they instead used it to enrich themselves to the point where they are now in danger of losing everything thry worked for for the last 16 years. Thry are literally at the point of trying some Hail Mary hot swap to appease the people with the torches and pitchforks.
They believed in a bad strategy. They had a bad plan and were blinded by an ideology that has proven time and time again to be a failure, but they thought they could do it better. They were wrong. You can't fix socialism because, at its core, it's a stupid idea that doesn't take in human nature or basic human reactions. The theory is unsound, but the "smartest people in the room" believed it was the people implementing it, or the lack of resources or the lack of power that made it not work.
They have no excuses. They failed. Now, the "smartest people in the room" did that. All they had to do was provide for the people, give them good jobs, low cost food, a secure home. That's it. They promised all of that. The people would have been happy to return them to the WH with their blessing.
They can't even keep the lights on in their utopia with every resource they could possibly want.
