Approximately 20–35% of Elon Musk’s $379 billion net worth (i.e., $75–135 billion) can be directly attributed to the impact of $38 billion he has received in government subsidies, loans, and contracts, primarily through Tesla and SpaceX.
Who here genuinely cared or thought about Elon on a daily basis until after he acquired Twitter?
And where did the money to acquire Twitter come from? I would humbly suggest the answer is the taxpayer. At least indirectly. What will happen to the stock price of Tesla and SpaceX if they no longer had market capture through subsidies? Serious question to consider.
Elon's got a 3-year track record that appeals to conservatives. Before that? Meh. He now points out huge government inefficiencies with fanfare, but with no scalpel being applied to his own pet projects.
It's not to say the "big, beautiful" bill should not be scrutinized. Rand Paul and Thomas Massie seem to care about debt ceilings now that Biden is gone. But from where I'm standing the only thing I've seen that is counterbalancing our massive national debt, is the trillions of dollars of investment Trump is single handedly securing despite Congress doing nothing.
I suppose it's petty to choose personalities over facts - but if forced to, I'm picking the guy the deep state keeps trying to kill.
For starters, there is opportunity in chaos (Sun Tzu), which would make for extremely fertile ground if you want to both provide cover to get the 'Big Beautiful Bill' passed AND make the planet virtually beg for the Epstein Files to be released.
BTW, the latter would have been a big deal regardless. But now, this spat will cause a firestorm that massively increases the attention paid to the information when it drops. Which is probably soon given this play.
And no, Trump's name won't be on the documents. That's just the bait.
You just have to think a level or two deeper than what you see on the surface (what the public clamors over) and consider the strategic value of what transpires were it being used to accomplish a larger goal.
In related news, the public (especially the left) is going to be foaming at the damn mouth to have the Epstein files released.

Were he in them, that information would have been released years ago.
Think about it this way. Trump is willing to use himself as bait in this manner and on this level, even though it will temporarily bruise his perception. To me, that's a reflection of how much he loves our country.
Me no comprehend.....why is moving to solar a bad thing? Not saying the entire electrical grid should be based on solar...but putting solar panels on a house or whateves...what's wrong with that? Also what is wrong with EVs? Not saying there has to be an EV mandate but still....what's wrong with EVs? Have you seen the Lucid?

Nothing wrong with solar, wind or hydro. I have a solar generator and a gas generator. My problem with all 3 of those is it's mostly produced over seas and it dont produce enough power . I dont mind solar on roof tops , dont cut oxygen producing trees and forests down to put them up , wind turbine kill everything and are loud as **** . Hydro is not good for fish . Fossil fuels do kill but not like the other forms and if done right is very clean and makes a wonderful breeding ground for wildlife. Fossil fuels actually work well at producing power ......way better than the others.
Should have been released along time ago . They both was found guilty but none was arrested.... that's bullshit .
