FAU takes advantage of late Ohio St. turnovers in OT win

COLUMBUS, Ohio --Adonis Filer notched a season-high 23 points and Florida Atlantic handed Ohio State their first home loss of the season, 79-77 in overtime on Tuesday night.

The Buckeyes lead by a point at halftime, and held an 11-point lead midway through the second half, but late turnovers and missed shots allowed the Owls to capture the win.

Florida Atlantic depended on 3-point shots for most of the night, going 10 of 25 from the field. OSU struggled to find its range, and finished 4 of 20 from deep.

After trailing 5-0, FAU went on an 11-0 run to force a timeout by the Buckeyes. OSU started the game making just one of its first 10 shots.

Boy that was an ugly game. I would say right now, Texas is the worst team in the B12. I think without a true point guard Texas will struggle all year. I also think Michigan played down to UT last night.

Michigan isn't really all that good this year. Pretty much the same as last year, so they'll be fortunate to make the tournament, and likely will be an NIT team. B1G, in my opinion, is very down this year, so that will hurt their dance chances if they're on the bubble, which they likely will be. Granted, they can play with anybody on any given night, but they could also lose to someone like FAU.

1) I don't think you have to worry about losing in the tournament ... you have to get there first
2) OSU lost to VA, we beat VA soundly on their own court ... so what you're saying is that OSU sucks so bad that beating UVA (ranked #6), shouldn't be considered impressive? Do you have an actual point? As usual, it doesn't seem you do

Somewhere in there is some logic that they were beating Uva at one point in the game. I guess since they were beating Uva that our win is not that impressive? I can't figure it out.

Why are y'all so dense? Congratulations to MichiganHerd's team. If I'm not mistaken, the B1G is 6-2 against the Big 12 this season. Pretty good results, considering that you delusional WVU homers undoubtedly will declare, as usual, that the Big 12 is the nation's best basketball conference, then watch Big 12 schools sh!t the bed in the NCAA Tournament, as usual, and make all of your excuses for why your conference didn't win the most important games of the season.
