Tim Tszyu vs. Joey Spencer start time
Date: Sunday, April 6
Time: 11 a.m. AEDT
Location: Newcastle Entertainment Centre - New South Wales, Australia
Tim Tszyu vs. Joey Spencer is in the Newcastle Entertainment Centre in New South Wales on April 6. The main card begins at 11 a.m. AEDT. The main event should begin around 2:30 p.m. AEDT, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

Tszyu is coming off of back-to-back losses to Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev, and was stopped in three by Murtazaliev last October. He’ll look to get back to winning ways returning to his home country, but Michigan’s Spencer will surely be gunning hard for what would be a big upset. His only really notable fight to date was a one-sided loss to Jesus Ramos Jr just over two years ago, but he’s won three straight at lower level since.

Uncrowned has Tim Tszyu vs. Joey Spencer live results, round-by-round updates, highlights, ring walks and start time for the Tszyu vs. Spencer fight card on Saturday night at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Australia's Tszyu looks to bounce back from back-to-back defeats in world title fights against the American, Spencer.

Tszyu (24-2, 17 KOs) had a nightmare campaign in 2024, suffering the first two defeats of his professional career. Tszyu, the son of the legendary Kosta Tszyu, lost his WBO super welterweight championship to Sebastian Fundora in March 2024 by split decision after suffering a nasty cut in the early rounds.

Spencer (19-1, 11 KOs) suffered his sole defeat on the David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant undercard in March 2023, after he was stopped in Round 7 by top prospect Jesus Ramos Jr. Since then, Spencer has put together three low-profile wins over the past 18 months, and now looks to inflict a third consecutive defeat on Tszyu.

Tszyu (24-2) has showcased heart and power in the ring. The Sydney-born fighter held the WBO super welterweight title with pride until losing in a bloody affair against Sebastian Fundora. It appeared he returned to the ring too soon after, as he was decimated in October against Bakhram Murtazaliev.

He returns to Australia for the first time since 2023 and Newcastle for the first time since 2021. The Tszyu family (Tim, brother Nikita, and father Kostya) has a 50-0 domestic record. A lot is on the line here for Tszyu, from protecting the family legacy to proving he can adapt against adversity.

"It's a hell of a legacy, that's for sure," Tsyzu told AAP via ESPN. "Australia's given so much, and the fact that we get to stamp our names in history here and do 50, it's quite an achievement… There's so much on the line.

"The thing is, I've been to America. I've done heaps. I've been in different, different levels of experience and I feel like I haven't been able to show that I've been getting better. Yeah, it just hasn't worked out. I haven't been able to prove myself on that big stage."

Spencer (19-1) goes from competing on the undercard of Tszyu fights to fighting the man himself. The multi-time National Champion is on a three-fight win streak. Spencer has eleven wins via knockout and looks to provide a massive beatdown and upset against Tszyu in front of family and friends.

"If I touch his chin right, do I believe that I can put him away? Absolutely," Spencer said to Premier Boxing Champions via The Ring. "I'm coming to take him out. Whether it's a decision, a stoppage, or a knockout. I'm coming to win this fight. "If the knockout comes, it comes."
