It is really an odd love affair given Amazon's stance on labor and unions and the Liberals's stance on corporations getting tax breaks...especially ones that do 180 billion a year and given Bezos's union busting activities.
BTW.....I love Amazon.
It is also interesting how New York and Virginia were so eager to have Amazon as neighbors given what has happened to Seattle. Seattle’s experience shows that becoming dependent on Amazon did not lead to broader wealth as promised. It actually has pushed up home prices and led to increased homelessness. Amazon also threw its political weight around in the city, spending millions to resist corporate taxes in Seattle.
