A Mountaineer Mascot without some meat on his/her bones is not a good look at all.

th

This is an intimidating looking dude.

th

This is not.

I know this is a touchy subject for some and believe me I appreciate all the former Mountaineer Mascots and the current one for their dedication to WVU but I think we need a more "burly" looking dude.

More like the squirrel in the tree than the elephant in the room.

I thought it was damn brave of Natalie. It takes guts to be the first at anything. And I remember she took a fair amount of grief from some of our fans for it.

She was a horrible mascot. I'm not being mean, just honest. She was given the title over Rock Wilson and it was a farce. I remember her being boo'd and it was every game. She got wise and stayed out of the student section.

I actually did like it or at least thought it was humorous when she dropped the F Bomb on live TV at noon while working in Charleston for WCHS or WVAH, one of the two. She wasn't the female Ron Burgandy but was competent as a news broadcaster. She was better at that than being the Mountaineer.

Hey, anyone got pictures of the Buckskin Babes that roamed the basketball court back in the 1970's? Hell, if they did that today...... Well, ya should have seen it. It was wonderful; and Junior Taylor would run down and sling one of them over his shoulder and run around the floor during timeouts to get the crowd fired up.
