WVU has beaten 4 Big 12 teams with a combined conference record of 8-16.
Ahead are 4 Big 12 teams with a combined conference record of 12-11. Forget 0-6 Iowa State and there are 3 Big 12 teams with a combined conference record of 12-5 looming big-time.
So the Mountaineers will go from playing molehills (excluding the loss to Oklahoma State, which is 5-1) to encountering mountains (excluding Iowa State, which is 0-6).
Beat Texas, Oklahoma and Baylor or go back to being disrespected nationally even more than the ONE loss of the season caused, which I think was unfair.
But WVU really hasn't beaten much. The 5th/6th, 8th and 9th/10 teams in the Big 12.
If Gibbby's marauders can continue their performances (31-0 halftime, even against Kansas, is noticeable by everyone around the country), and Skyler can stop turning over the ball with fumbles and interceptions, then maybe my alma mater can roll through Texas, Oklahoma and Baylor and win the Big 12 title, alone or as a co-champ.
Skyler has 6 interceptions, about 1 a game, but has 2 fumbles and 2 interceptions in the last 2 games. That's too many turnovers by a QB, even a risk-taker like Skyler, particularly against Texas, Oklahoma and Baylor, which will capitalize on that the way that Oklahoma State did. And the Cowboys got 17 gift points from fumbles, the margin of defeat.
Let's roll into Texas and lasso the Longhorns!
M anhandled Missouri, 26-11
O rdinary against Youngstown, 38-21
U nnerving miracle goalline tip/interception escapes BYU, 35-32
N o quit against Kansas State, 17-16
T ony’s turbulence tore up Texas Tech, 48-17
A nother defense whipping, of TCU, 34-10
I gnominy of turnovers against Oklahoma State, 20-37
N o problem decimating Kansas, 48-21
E radicate Texas
E rectile dysfunction Oklahoma
