Les Miles to Kansas is official

Orgeron is 30-10 in his last 4 years of coaching including two interim stops.

Jimbo is 31-16 in his last 4 years of coaching

There is not that much of a difference.

Plus Jimbo was coaching in the ACC against Wake, Syracuse and Georgia Tech.

Except Jimbo won a national championship, played for another and produced a Heisman winner....and also actually built those teams as the HC.

Orgeron was just an assistant coaching someone elses team.

You are missing the point....

Jimbo Fisher underachieved.
There is no one questioning his accomplishments.
There should have been more. With what was going on Jimbo missed a lot of good players in Florida and over evaluated others.
Jimbo had Top 3 rosters because Miami couldn't recruit without their boosters and Florida was a shitshow.

Jimbo should have been winning 11 games a year.

But he only accomplished this three times and once without Winston.

He is Mark Richt and Mack Brown.

Great recruiters but not championship level coaches.

Most felt his program would start to decline and that he was winning on talent alone. I'm not convinced he's a great coach but it's tough to argue with his success.
More and more local stars were committing out-of-state. He could not recruit and develop a QB. Offense was predictable and anemic.

He literally has a championship. So does Mack Brown.

Literally. They are the definition of championship level coaches.

Mack Brown would have five if he was an elite coach.

Brown had everything....
1) Recruits
2) Growing population
3) Booming economy
4) All the resources in the world

Don't know all the issues with Jimbo but....

Tim Brewster may be one.
A horrible talent evaluator that recruits based on recruiting rankings.

All these terrible coaches with national championships.

Everyone knows the elites coaches are the assistants who fall up as a default hire because no one else took the job.

No one called these coaches terrible...

But you can't value a coach by NC.

Hayden Fry is probably one of the greatest coaches and he never won one NC.

There is a REAL difference....Why are you even here again???

Coach O has been an a true HC at LSU for not even one year...the rest have been partial interim and asst. titles...not even close to the same as Jimbo being the actual HC for 8 years at SEC and ACC schools.

Don't go away mad...just go away

He has coached at LSU for over 30 games and has done a much better job recently than Jimbo.

Out of those 47 games only 7 were against SEC schools for Jimbo.
Jimbo was 5-6 at Florida St last year with Top 4 talent.
The year before Florida St was blown out by Louisville by 6 Touchdowns.

This is all with top tier recruiting classes.
Even better than Orgeron had at LSU.

But....against inferior competition.

If Jimbo was an elite coach he would have been at least 11-2 every year at Florida St.

He had the best roster.
Clemson was the only team with comparable talent.

Florida didn't have the talent that FSU had at this time.

But.....

At the end of the day Ed Orgeron, Jimbo or Tom Herman can get their hands on top tier elite talent.

Les can and will not in Lawrence.

Now it is mainly at the QB position but every once in awhile a RB comes along like a Leonard Fournette or now with Zach Evans that can change who wins in CFB.

So....
I wouldn't discount Jimbo all the way because top Texas and Louisiana talent can make any coach look like a genius.

Problem is for Jimbo is that Zach Evans wants to play where the real dogs play...

Why do y'all keep conversing with the TVZ idiot? He's not a WVU fan, and all she wants to do is stir sPitt. Just stop.
