WCLG is undergoing change ownership...WCLG is waiting final Federal Communications Commission approval of a change of ownership....AJG Broadcasting is buying the stations from longtime owner Linda Bowers. The FCC had granted the broadcast license transfer in 2013, but then rescinded it in October of that year because of objections filed against the transfer – one by a private individual and one by Joe Potter, senior vice president of Broadcast Operations for IMG College.
Both alleged that AJG and West Virginia Radio Corp. (WVRC) share ownership and that the ownership and associations violate the FCC rule limiting single ownership in this type of radio market. WVRC is co-owned by brothers John and David Raese. AJG is owned by two trusts.
In February, the FCC denied the objections and granted the transfer – with conditions to assure due insulation between WVRC and AJG.
