Key Big 12 games this weekend

With TCU losing 7+ starters on defense due to injury and behaviors, I'm predicting a big win for Texas Tech over the Horned Frogs on Saturday.

Another game to watch is Oklahoma State @ Texas, but I think the Longhorns are building stability with their new QB and the Cowboys are not yet ready to win in Austin.

Mountaineers big over Maryland, 41-17.

Suddenly neither of those potential upsets sounds out of the question. If they do happen, we'd have a totally wide-open Big 12 race right away on the first day of conference games.

One thing's for sure: Nobody looks unbeatable so far unlike past years. There may never be a better opportunity to win the league than 2015.

As of today, I realistically rank the Big 12 . . .

1. Oklahoma
2. Baylor
3. TCU (until somebody knocks them off)
4. West Virginia
5. Oklahoma State/Texas winner this Saturday

Although they don't play this week one that has me curious is K St...not much chatter about them being a factor but they are 3-0 (albeit against the sisters of the poor), with a nail biter vs La Tech...their run game still looks poor but they always seem able to sling it with a pretty good D...and Snyder always seems to get the best from his troops...This one is later in the sched but we will need to hammer them....we owe them one by now!
