No doubt Karl Joseph would have meant a WVU victory.
But the defense did a helluva job.

Defending the usual short field.
No, you're aiming at the wrong target. Pat White would have done a better job than Skyler Howard, who put the "Sky" in his throws.
But Joseph and White aren't here. So we need to deal with what we have.
And losing in overtime and being in the game into the 4th quarter in two straight games against unbeaten and top 25 teams doesn't exactly scream "Kansas" to me.
And it won't get any better against Baylor and TCU, both on the road, for God's sake.
But it better get better against Texas Tech, Texas, Kansas, Iowa State and Kansas State or even I won't be able to hold back the pitchforks, the effigies, the tar and feathers for Dana.
Here's hoping for a miracle turnaround in the final 5 games, which is entirely possible, for an 8-4 season.
