how far these two programs (WVU and Clemson) have come since that night. Clemson of course has soared and WVU has gone on a slide like few programs have in such a short time. What's the difference? Management!!!! One head coach that has moved his program forward with great dispatch and the other who still seems to be trying to find out where the bathroom is.
This comparison from that night should be a wakeup call for all Mountaineer Fans (IMHO). I suggest that there is nothing on the horizon to give us hope for the future with the present head coach. And to make matters worse we find that somehow one of our prized Mountaineers (Worley) is, according to the Morgantown paper this morning, meets the academic eligibility requirements to play in the bowl, BUT because some paperwork didn't get to the NCAA he can't play. This is a bit confusing, how did this happen if the paperwork got in for the others who meet academic requirements to play and Worley's didn't. It seems like this might be some type of management issue here. Story was just not clear on it.
Back to the path of the Clemson and Mountaineer Football programs since the Orange Bowl. This indeed is troubling. To me, it brings into focus the importance the results of the ASU-WVU bowl game.
