All is not well in ant world.

Chuck will get to the bottom of what's going on. You can take that to the bank....More bad news for Marshall.

"The football program is solely the property of Marshall's secretive, cloak-and-dagger athletic department.

Now, Edwards Stadium is locked up tightly to make sure no fans can watch practice.

Now, if players are dismissed from the program there is no reason given or explanation of any kind.

Now, if a player is injured the program covers it up with a shroud of secrecy as if it's classified information; refuses to acknowledge the injury in any way, shape or form; and castigates anyone in the media who tries to find out information about an injury.

Now, if a player is arrested or gets in trouble, the program tries to hush it up as much as possible.

Just look at what has happened since preseason camp opened.

Wide receiver Angelo Jean-Louis and MU "parted company" with no explanation. Now, Jean-Louis is playing NCAA Division II football for Shepherd University.

Next, quarterback Michael Birdsong manned up and played hurt against Ohio. After throwing him under the bus the following Tuesday by saying Birdsong would share the quarterbacking with true freshman Chase Litton, MU discovered his throwing shoulder (right) was hurt later that day. So, according to sources, Birdsong secretly was taken to Three Gables in Proctorville, Ohio, for an MRI.

Besides having a shoulder injury, Birdsong reportedly had X-rays on his ribs the following Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital. The junior quarterback has missed the last two games.

Marshall hasn't released any information about his injuries.

Next, there was the mysterious scenario with junior safety A.J. Leggett. Marshall released a statement saying he was no longer a member of the program and there would be no further comment.

Leggett started 11 games in 2014, made 63 tackles and shared the team lead with four interceptions and there's no further comment?

The lack of an explanation was and still is unacceptable.

Then, there's the situation with Von Davis and two other academic non-qualifiers. According to sources, the trio has left Marshall because their money - Pell grants, perhaps - didn't come through.

Davis is a significant loss considering 247 Sports ranked him as the top recruit in MU's 2015 recruiting class. Yet, Marshall has been mum on the subject.

Finally, there's star running back Devon Johnson's injury. Is it his ankle? Is it his back? Were his heavily taped ankles vs. Kent State a cover-up? Is MU splitting hairs by hiding behind the "there's no such thing as a fractured disk" comment?"

What's ole' Doc hiding?

Bad sign.

This is the beginning of the end for Moo U. football. Can you say Div III ?

We should put green crosses on our helmets again this week to show support for their loss to Ohio and the end of their run at the top of the bottom of the barrel.

That's a fair comparison...these columnists think they own the program sometimes!

Some journalists have uncovered various missteps at various times at very serious levels. (not sports, government corruption, etc.)

This seems to make anybody with a column think they have more power and influence than they do.

As far as Chuck and Mickey are concerned. The comparison begins and ends with "journalist homers that turned sour on their teams". Chuck can't hold a candle to Mickey career-wise.
