He said the football stadium renovations should be complete for the 2016 season. According to Oliver, there had been some uncertainty regarding contractor and subcontractor capacity due to all the development around Morgantown and limited resources available in the area and that it might take two offseasons to complete. We knew there would be some preliminary work this summer and it sounds like that will continue during the season and most of the heavy lifting will get started this winter. That includes the concurrent turf/crown project, so fans should expect a much improved experience next season. (In before someone references the 3 week delay on opening the new baseball park at poor lil' ol' West Virginia when physical construction only started nine months beforehand on a barren piece of land on an old coal mine that had to be reclaimed with no existing utilities and transportation infrastructure after some extreme weather conditions last winter. The HORROR.)

Lyons also mentioned the discussions of some new club/premium seating options at the Coliseum. That had basically been tabled before, focusing more on other, more pressing issues with the concourses, concessions, restrooms, the vacated CPASS space and eradicating the asbestos floor mastic that remained in the building. Not too surprising considering Huggs' pleas for improvements in these amenities, the fact that he's a heavy hitter with fundraising(see: Basketball Practice Facility), our run in the tournament and the reinvigorated program.

FYI, ICYMI.
