Norfolk (Ne.) Northeast C.C. guard Buay Tuach (pronounced Boy Twat-ch) told me that West Virginia became interested in him while actually scouting a game for another player and he impressed by scoring 26 points and connecting on 11 of his 13 attempts from the floor. After that the Mountaineers started paying close attention and offered him about a week ago. Ron Everhart is the lead recruiter here and he told me that he has spoken to the coaching staff and they really like him and his ability to get to the rim and score the basketball, particularly at his size (6-foot-5, 175-pounds). He has been getting a ton of interest as of late including from both Texas and VCU after a very productive sophomore season at the junior college level averaging over 16 points while connecting on 60-percent of his field goal attempts and nearly 40-percent from three. He told me that playing time will be important to him so he plans on speaking with the coaching staff when he gets on campus to see what the plan is there especially considering the current numbers. His parents are from Sudan and he is grew up in Omaha. West Virginia really interests him and he plans to visit April 17 but told me he doesn't plan on making a quick decision. I'll have a lot more in an article.
