When congress wrote the law about conflicts of interest and accepting gifts, it excluded the President. He went on to say that congress never envisioned a Trump presidency and that he can legally continue to run his business as the law does not apply to any President. He said he should move it to his kids and some sort of trust but that he is within legal boundaries to do as he wants. It will be interesting to see what happens as this goes forward.

Well if Judge Nap said it then let's just move on. Next?

I have read that elsewhere too. He is 70 years old. What does he care if he creates real or perceived conflicts at this point as long as his business interests are maintained and his brand maximized?

He's probably a better authority on the law than unnamed legal experts. He is someone who has been pretty consistent. Do you have someone, and I mean a real person with a name, who says otherwise?

Do you have anything to add from a real legal perspective? Other than some opining about something that doesn't seem to be against the law?
