John Denver would be crying if he was still around. West Virginia since the early eighties has been to the post season (not the pay to play) all but 9 or 10 seasons with trips to the NCAA or NIT.
Using the pay to play tournaments, Marshall hasn’t been playing in any post season 10 times in 40 years.
It would make any WVU fan sad to see WVU possibly not make it into the post season, unlike Marshall where it’s never going anywhere anyway.

After each Marshall loss, I think John Denver could do a better job coaching the Herd than d'antoni
Comparatively speaking we're not doing too badly. At 8-16, our winning % is .333. If we were playing baseball and had that kind of a batting average, we'd be a first ballot hall of famer.
The new athletic director will more than likely be tasked day one of finding a new basketball coach for the Herd.
I just hope Dan just retires as opposed making a mess....but I think he'll make the new guy fire him which will be a real can of worms!
I think Dan missed his chance to bring in better talent when he didn’t expand recruiting when MU won the conference tournament and first round NCAA game. That opportunity was there for the taking.

Dan was always a lazy recruiter...took projects that nobody else wanted and rode his Serbian Pipeline which yielded only one "good" player.
More crying on country roads again on Saturday. WVU is now 3-8 in conference play, and will have to beat a mediocre Kansas State tonight to stay out of the cellar.
