Because they couldn’t buy players. That used to be a legal …..now it’s not.
It’s pretty simple. Coaching doesn’t really have too much to do with it when you’re at the level of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, etc. …. you have the players, you win. Every now and again a coach makes a great game plan and catches a team off guard and upset a team. That is great coaching. A consistent winner is about having the top players year after year.
Oh Texas has been overrated with overrated players for quite some time. Now they can buy the big time players that make big-time plays. How in the hell do you think A&M pulled off this type of a class? Because A&M has a boatload of the green baby.
…….And Texas boys and girls will do anything for Texas football. It’s gonna be hard to match that type of fanatic fandom especially when billionaires are more than happy to share that wealth. Bama fans are committed, but they are poor compared to Texas.
