Could be coach speak (even the author of that article points this out)....
--The coach simply said they would like to add another player at the QB position. ....the writer filled in EVERYTHING else.
--The coach could simply be selling his draft position. Actually hinting (if that's even what that was) at taking a QB at the sixth position in the first round seems a bit counter productive....if he's actually considering taking one. Do I really need to explain why ?
--The coach could simply be motivating the QB's he currently has on his roster. Some players need to feel insecure about their jobs to work hard during the offseason.

In the right draft year I think the Jets would go with a QB...but this ain't that year. Marcus Mariota just isn't a value at this pick imo (although others disagree...so he might not even be available). I'd EASILY stick with Geno AND a new stud WR (Cooper or White) than taking a player that may not end up being better than what you currently have on your roster.
If the Jets insist on a QB early (aka 2nd round) they should just hope that Brett Hundley falls to them.... ...but again... ...is this guy really better than Geno ? Doubtful....it's just a bad draft year for QB's.
The Jets can best improve their QB position by drafting a WR early.
The OP is not "implying" anything.
The OP simply posted the quotes of the coach and the article for those with interest to read.
The OP has previously made his position clear, on more than one occasion, that he believes Geno to have been a 'head-case' while at West Virginia and that Geno has continued to demonstrate his 'head-caseness' during the NFL Draft and his career to date with the New York Jets.
As far as the OP is concerned, LowFat can conclude whatever he/she wants, but cannot speak for the OP.
