I realize he is a Charlotte and they are getting shelled by Louisville, but you would think he would have learned something under Gomer when he was here.
Stewart, just like Dana, started off his coaching career by doing a buddy a solid and WVU paid for it in losses.
Thats on the AD's.
I agree with the premise that Bill and Dana made mistakes by putting their buddies in charge who were not qualified for the roles they were given.
But that's NOT "on the AD's." ADs pretty much let the head coach pick the assistants unless there's a morality problem. All over the country.
But Bill and Dana both let friendships get in the way of putting the best product possible on the field.

He'd be stupid not to, but we've attempted zone reads under Dana.If Gibby became HC, do you think he'd bring it back?
I have to say, 3 is obvious, but Charlotte is not even old enough to be in kindergarten yet. You couldn't make them competitive with any coach being such a young program. They're also not going to attract a relevant coach to lead them in their infancy. UTSA was lucky they got Larry Coker, but he was also coming off a firing, and wasn't really attractive to other FBS schools. Given >>>Mullen<<< never had any clue what he wanted out of his offense other than a ton of motion and shifting that led to absolutely nothing. Maybe he knew exactly what he wanted to do, but we had the most inept offensive lines in decades thanks to Johnson, so being able to run any play was a crapshoot. Yes it was on Stew. I don't know why we're still talking about it, though. Mullen is at a school we won't be playing anytime soon. Stew is at rest. Let's put those years at rest, too.1. 49-0 in the 2nd qtr. let's just say 56-0 at the half cause it will be. Wow there are 1-aa schools better than that.
2. As for Mullen, yeah he was and is not an OC.
3. More important than 1 & 2. No point in insulting a dead man.
Because it set the program back years and certain people want to place Stewart on a undeserved pedestalI have to say, 3 is obvious, but Charlotte is not even old enough to be in kindergarten yet.
