This hearing was focused on Trump's affiliation with his informal political advisers, and members of the Oath Keepers and other far right militia groups:
--On December 14th Trump was informed by Bill Barr that the DOJ had investigated all allegations of election fraud. None of the allegations had any merit. By this time all challenges filed in court had been thrown out by 60 judges.
--December 18th--A meeeting in the White House between Trump, Rudy, Sydney Powell, General Flynn, and the former CEO of Overstock.com (can't make this stuff up) was held to discuss the seizure of the voting machines in several states. This information was per a taped deposition by White House Counsel Pat Cipollone. Cipollone testified that he asked for the evidence of which no one could produce. Cipollone brought up the fact that 60 judges determined that the election fraud claims made by Trump were without merit. Several of these judges were Trump apppointees
--After that meeting Trump tweeted the now infamous "call to arms tweet" that lead to the storming of the capital. The contents of the tweet included: There would be a "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th." Trump infamously added, "Be there, will be wild!" After the tweet, pro-Trump groups rescheduled planned protests for late January and switched the date to January 6, according to the committee. "Stop the Steal" leader Ali Alexander quickly registered the website WildProtest.com and used the site as a clearinghouse for information about the protest.
Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones promoted Trump's tweet and urged people to flock to DC. Jim Watkins, the administrator of 8kun, an online forum that is the home of the QAnon conspiracy, told the House panel that he decided to go to Washington on January 6 after Trump's tweet.
--The committee unveiled evidence Tuesday showing how Trump's call for his supporters to march to the Capitol on January 6 had been planned in advance. The committee showed a draft tweet -- which Trump did not send -- calling for marching to the Capitol. "I will be making a Big Speech at 10AM on January 6th at the Ellipse (South of the White House). Please arrive early, massive crowds expected. March to the Capitol after. Stop the Steal!!" the draft tweet says. The tweet, which the committee obtained from the National Archives, includes a stamp saying "President has seen."
--Testimony was provided live by Stephen Ayres, a convicted Capitol rioter who breached the building on January 6, He explained how he was "riled up" by Trump's speech and never planned to go to the Capitol but was "following what (Trump) said" during his Ellipse address.
--The meeting ended with information from Liz Cheney regarding witness tampering. A witness who will be testifying at the next hearing informed the committee that they were contacted by Donal Trump and did not answer the phone. This information was referred to the DOJ for investigation of witness tampering.
The next january 6th hearing will be held thursday 7/21 in primetime. The timeline of storming of the capitol along with the synchronization of Trump's tweets and actions that day will be the focal point. It's unfathomable that the United States capitol would come under attacked for over 3 hours before the president of the Unite States did anything to stop it. That's right President Trump watched and did nothing for 3 hours as the capitol was stormed, as cops were being beaten by an armed group of rioters, and as a gallows was erected for a crowd chanting "hang Mike Pence"
