for herd fans. No hope of making the dance, Big Brother is a 3 seed for the big dance and runner up in the best conference in the country. Big Brother has 23 wins this year, the herd has 25....in the last two seasons combined. Didn't play for a CUSA championship last year in football, may need to change that slogan.

Ah, but it's very close to the best time of the year for them ... many months of football talk regarding hypothetical games and such. Until it's time to actually play the games.

Seeds don't mean much but banners do ....I hope you boys win it all, tremendous accomplishment! Get back to me after the weekend and we'll evaluate the Herd's chances to go dancing!

From my viewpoint, I'm guessing the folks from Morgen Town are going to have to rely on the musket shooters to provide them with their only hardware again this year.

Kentucky was the #1 seed overall last year. They looked unbeatable, particularly when they took our norther friends behind the woodshed during last year's dance. But, in the end, they weren't no match for a Big 10 power like Wisconsin.

I'm guessing the Big 12 teams will continue to get the regular season accolades, but just like football, once the playoffs/tournaments begin, the boys will be separated from the men. I figure the final four and maybe even the Elite 8 will be Big 12less again this post season.

Yeah, I'm not sold that the Big 12 is any better than the other P-5's, just as good but no better. They totally flamed out last year as you noted! The Cousins can flat out ball hawk you but I don't think they shoot the ball well enough to hang a banner...but JMHO, at the risk of being called a closet Mountie again I hope I'm wrong and they win the whole damn thing!

We have various guys that can shoot lights out if they get hot. Adrian has been incredible the last 5-6 games. Huggs has worked with Miles and Carter's mechanics and they have worked hard with it and they shot pretty well last night. Paige has been pretty good most of the year.

But, we also go through stretches where we couldn't hit water from a boat.

It depends on the draw and whether or not the outside shots drop. I think they will continue to work hard on that and might surprise some people ... or maybe not. It's honestly impossible to tell with this team.

It depends on the draw
That's the key right there. If WVU gets favorable matchups, they could potentially be in it for a long run. Of course, there's probably 20-25 other teams that can do the same this year. WVU doesn't match up against certain styles of play very well, and if they end up having to play one of those early on, they could be an early out. Think of a team that's physical, rebounds well, handles the pressure well, and can shoot decent from outside - a team like Florida, and better yet, a team like Michigan State. Those are the type of teams you don't want to face if you can avoid them.

You must be strong with the ball if you want to defeat WVU as you noted...if they turn you over , you might as well get on the bus! I think they're a lock to make the round of 16, probably a 3-4 seed but after that dogfight city!

The refs create a massive impact in WVU's style of play. If they allow us to pressure and not call every darn touch-foul, the team typically succeeds despite whether we shoot well or not. If they call it very close, not good for us.

I don't see a team out there that I'd say we can't beat, like Kentucky last year (But, I didn't think anyone could beat them)... Kansas is playing better than anyone in the country at the moment.

I would argue that Michigan State is playing the best right now, and I hate MSU, but they've taken it up a notch or two recently.

Sparty is always a tough out! But KU is playing well right now as well...but who knows never seen such parity!

I'm guessing zero. Not many. 500 teams, give or take, go dancing.
