I totally agree....very disappointing that our team " leader' sat it out because of a headache! Obviously we didn't have much of a chance anyway but without Litton we were forced to throw a true Frosh to the wolves. He'll probably sit out the Pitt game as well but return to action against the mighty 49ers of Charlotte!
I'm very frustrated as you can tell....never expected to win this game but to run a true Frosh ( looked small and slow to me) out there when we have a 6' 6 220 pound rifled arm QB on the bench with the best seat in the house was disheartening!
I get it, but if he's out with a concussion you have to respect the doctor's evaluation. Also, you weren't going to win the game anyway, so why push it and lose your starter for the season?

That and a true freshman gained some valuable playing time. That may be helpful in the future. I thought the kid looked decent all things considered.

No, not we, Marshall acts like it's top secret. Rumor is he had analysis done and it was confirmed that he had a concussion. A friend of mine, Marshall fan, thought it was pretty chicken shit to conceal the fact that he wasn't starting just out of fear of not selling tickets.
Birdsong - there's another Marshall claim to fame that fizzled and flopped. I remember herd fans bragging about how great he was.
Do we know he fizzled and flopped? No smack involved.. it was never made clear that he was beaten out or he was injured.
He is now throwing interceptions in the Ohio Valley Conference (yeah, there is such a thing at the college level). His team is 1-3. I think that qualifies as a flop.
Would love to see a running QB at MU, haven't had one since Mike Peyton.
