Actually it's pretty good being in a tough conference and playing some of the best teams in the nation every year on a home and home basis. What would truly suck would be in one of the weakest conferences in the nation (CUSA) and still fall short.
It would also truly suck to have a bad VPI team pick you because they needed an easy win to gain bowl eligibility, then get drubbed even when their players WANTED to lose.
Outside of Clemson, what does the ACC bring as of late? A 6-6 Pitt making the championship game? Laughable

what REALLY sucks is if you WIN your conference and still get only 200 grand and a bowl bid that's the same or worse than the team that you speak about that will finish outside the top 3 of it's (power 5 ) conference.......but such is life in the minor leagues
no, what sucks is being a Michigan football fan, and having a vastly overpaid coach at the helm. Harbaugh is probably one of the worst coaches in college football, but yet they're paying the screwball nutcase 9 million per year.
