From my old Senator, Jim DeMint

Heritage is strictly non-partisan. We're not concerned with what's best for the Democrats or Republicans. Our top concern is what's best for America. Heritage has more than 40 years experience fighting FOR conservative ideas and AGAINST liberal Policies.

Is Jim cutting corners a bit?

He's pissed off lots of establishment Republicans.

I can certainly forgive him for that. Some of the old "go along" Repubs needs a little shock or a visit from TParty. When Repubs start acting like Dems, it is time for them to be put out to pasture, IMO.

What "conservative ideas" would those be? Something like the individual mandate for health insurance, which was a great idea when Mitt Romney implemented it, but became heresy when the Democrats embraced it?

You see no difference in Mitt and the state v. Obama and all 50 states? If each individual state subscribes to Obamacare, you get no bitching from me. But, I have a little problem with Obamacare implemented to insure all at a savings. 40,000,000 still uninsured and the cost is greater for most and more cost to come in future years. You still have no problem with Obamacare?

I see you've ignored my point, as you often do. The individual mandate had nothing to do with whether the states subscribe to Obamacare or not -- it was a requirement that everybody have health insurance. It was one of those "conservative ideas" that was supported by the Heritage Foundation right up to the moment when Hillary Clinton included it in her failed health care plan. As soon as one Democrat said it was a good idea, suddenly it was no longer a "conservative idea" but some socialist plot to deprive Americans of their liberties.

In the future, please indicate the parts of your post that require a response. I normally comment on the things that I have an interest in, but if you have required response, please so indicate. BTW, would you tell me where I should look to get the source of "conservative ideas"? Was it in the solicitation I received? I made my donation and put in the mail. I read that one paragraph and found it interesting, so I retyped it and put it on the board. Do you want to share with me the source, or do you prefer that I dig?

Crikey -- I gave you an example of a conservative idea that the Heritage Foundation embraced ... until they didn't ... and they only turned against it because liberals began to embrace it as part of a broader reform of health care.

Is it mandatory that I address Obamacare again? Are you really suggesting Heritage was for Obamacare before they were against it? Is that where you want me to go. Jim DeMint was still my Senator when Obamacare was forced upon us? If you want more than that, be a little more specific.

I've been wondering the same thing. Are you double clicking the "Post Reply" button?
No. Excuse the annoyance. Notified V. a few days ago.

The problem occurs about half the time. About half the time, I hit post and am posted. The other half, it is as though I have not hit Post. If I forget and move on, I lose all of my entry. If I wait for a period and nothing happens, I hit post again. Nothing happens on the second attempt. I have to wait a short period. It will either post or get a red message that tells me I need to wait 11 seconds, or wait 2 seconds, or something in between. After waiting the required, I Post Entry and get the proper results. When I verify at the time, there is only one post. When I go back later, there is duplication. I normally delete the dup when it is located.

Also having trouble with edit function. Some time when I attempt to edit, I just get a blank screen. Follow-up attempts still give blank screen, so I accept the error and move on.

Anyone with a solution, is appreciated.

For the stupid people who still don't know, Mass was going to override his veto. In case you've been asleep for the last 60 years, Mass elects some of the worst politicians ever. Crooked, drunk misogynist, secretary killing Ted kennedy. Romney had no choice but try and make it better. By the way, Mass gets almost 500 mill from the federal govt to keep that plan afloat. That's money from you and me to prop up their health insurance that is wrought with fraud.

No, what is necessary is for you to leave Obamacare out of the discussion and focus on what I actually said, which is that the Heritage Foundation supported the individual mandate. Now, that is a central pillar of Obamacare as it was for Hillarycare in 1993. And right on cue, as soon as the Democrats wanted to adopt it as part of their broader plan -- which became Obamacare -- everyone on the right acted like they had never heard of it.

I don't think it would be an issue if you stay on subject. Please read the original post and help me to get to where you are now. I quoted Jim DeMint in a release he had about Heritage. I asked if he were not taking liberties with that quote.

You come forth demanding that I defend actions by Heritage in the periods of Mitt as Governor, and Hillary as 1st Lady. I had no idea as to what you were referring, so I did not attempt to offer a defense. Loosen up if you will, or tell me explicitly what I need to defend so I can at least research your inquiry.
