first up on "Statewide Sportsline"? It throws me every time I tune in.

I tuned in for the first for the post-bowl show thinking, "Ol' Bill is gonna be fired up tonight." Then it hit me Bill was gone. RIP Bill, your calls were a near thirty year joyride of opinions and laughs.

If they haven't done it, maybe they ought to do a memorial segment of Bill's best as tribute? He was as much a part of that show as the hosts.

The Gold Card Bill who calls Tony first every show for such a long time is not the Bill Noel who died recently. Both are great guys. Bill Noel was an engineer for CSX and the Gold Card Bill who calls SSL is I think an attorney with the WVDOH in the RW division (unless he has retired).

When I first read this I thought has the other Bill past away too? Losing Bill Noel (gcb) was tough enough. Man he was really a nice man. Just a great, humble, and good person.

I'm glad to hear that "Bill H" is still around. I don't want to give the last name I don't want to be incorrect about and possibly violate the mans privacy.

Bill Noel and Frank Offutt, both no longer among us, were real assets to WVU, and class acts. My late wife went to Williamson High with Frank so I knew him personally and I knew Bill by what Frank said about him.
