I'd say that job will be open in December...bunch of good jobs open this year! More jobs than good coach's to fill them. If you're LSU or USC who do you hire that the fan base will accept?

Make no mistake: Rich Fraud sucked at Michigan, too. You don't win big in the B1G by converting your tiny leftovers on offense to defense, no matter how dynamic your quarterback is. I almost cried the day that Michigan fired him.
I have been a die hard Mountaineer fan all of my life, but if WVU ever brings DickRod back then I'll be done with them. Too much baggage with him that we didn't know about while he was here.
That's convenient now, isn't it? Who is "we?" Unless you had your wrinkled up fingers in your ears, then you must have heard the rumors about Rich Fraud and a real estate agent in Morganhole when he coached there. And, how about all of those missing/shredded records when he left?
Truth be told, my dad had connections at Glenville State and when WVU hired Dick Rod he told me that Dick Rod was dirty in more ways than one. I chose not to believe that because the guy was winning games for us. In the end I learned my dear old departed dad knew what he was talking about.
I have been told by OSU people that I know that Woody was heavily medicated for a heart condition in last years as Coach of the Bucks and that it changed his personality for the worse.
Possibly, but he didn't have a pleasant personality to begin with, and that's what you want in a football coach. A hard nosed SOB who won't take no shit from anybody, including his players. Need more personalities like that today, as opposed to the fluffers who are catering to the players. Think that has something to do with the staleness of WVU today.
No question, Wood personality was tough and combative but if he wasn't mediated would the Gator Bowl incident occurred? I don't know but I'm willing to cut his legacy a break.
My maternal grandfather was the spitting image of Woody, and had some of the same personality flaws, but both men had successful careers. It's a shame that Woody lost his mind at the end.
True but how much of that was Woody and how much of that was Meds? Obviously we'll never know!
Just a different generation of growing up. They had to grow up fast and grew up as true men during hard times and had no time for nonsense and bullshit. I respect them. Need more of them in today’s society.
