Is Howard playing Saturday?

Does anyone know if Howard playing Saturday is still up in the air?
According to Dana, Although being uncomfortable when he breaths or throws, he still have full range of motion and will play Saturday. No major injury but will need a few weeks to recover. Maybe it is good a bye is coming next week

It hurts when Howard even thinks about blinking his eyes. It hurts when Howard takes a pee. It hurts when Howard says, "Hello." It will be a miracle if he can play on Saturday.

I mean ... you guys saw on Saturday that he was unable to play in the second half. Right?

DH is truly insane if he plays Howard against YSU this week. Could cost the whole season. Take this week and the bye and then prep him. Time for Chugs or Crest to step up and better this week than in the middle of the BYU game.

If Skyler is able to play, it would send a bad message to the team if he doesn't start against Youngstown. It would be difficult for the Mountaineers to take Y-town seriously if Skyler is capable, but "saved" for BYU.

Put him in the game to start, see how the game goes, then be generous with reps for both Crest and Chugs. They both need game experience, as we saw against Missouri.

I suspect Crest will be gripping the football so hard on a pass play that he might squeeze the air out of it. Lesson learned the hard way.

Defense and inept Missouri kicker bailed Crest out . . . sort of.

In the first quarter, yes. But in watching the replay he got much better finding the open receiver quickly in his 1, 2, 3 reads for the rest of the game. I was impressed, and I wasn't happy with Skyler last year or in the first quarter against Missouri with his intermediate and long passes. But he seemed to solve the problem as the game moved on.

Maybe you're correct CFE... ...but it seems he misses a lot of touch passes.

....maybe not as many beers as I drink... ...so maybe I'm only remembering the first quarter.

:smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley: You're a pretty sharp dude, I think, and you may have a point about the soft touches not being as accurate as possible (too low, too high, too wide).

But his stronger throws at intermediate and medium long range (not so much the bombs) were fairly pinpoint, based on what I saw from my Mountaineer Field seat and the DVR replay of the game after I got home.

I've been a critic of Skyler in previous seasons because he too often tossed it out there and prayed that his guy, and not the other guy, would get it (as his TD/INT ratio shows).

But I think he may have benefitted for all those blunders as a senior, who is more mature than a junior, sophomore or freshman, whether it's playing football and dealing with females. [WVU]

I think we're on the same page.

...heck, I might go far as saying 'dude' (like 'hey guys') is no longer a reference tied to gender. ....just to keep the peace between us.

Are so many of you too afraid of our possible lack of depth at QB that you truly believe that the HC should jeopardize the conference season and play a guy that admits that he was having trouble speaking and breathing with his rib injury? Really? And, when he fumbles, throws ducks and gets helped off the field against the Mighty Quins that is acceptable for the long haul? Again, really? If he is injured, and not just hurting, you set him...plain and simple. Play him injured and WVU is one hit away from tanking the season. That is just dumb.

I'm more concerned about poster depth.

Crest showed more potential with a fumble in a game than you have (with almost 600 posts) on the forums....

Orlaco...You either can't read, can't comprehend, can't understand anything more than a three letter word, or are just plain.....

What part of a simple observation about the... :

1. lack of importance of a FCS game (WVU should win with, or without, the starting QB) compared to upcoming conference games;
2. concern about the immediate health and impact of a QB with a rib injury that causes breathing issues;
3. concern about the need to protect WVU's interest in a prudent manner that allows the team the best chance to prevail going forward...

did you not understand? If you are still confused, go upstairs and ask your Mommy. You truly are a piece of work. lol x3 Okay you are back on ignore.

Back on ignore ??

I guess that option is broken... ...because people keep saying that.._but yet keep replying to my posts.

...and I did read all the attempts you made to defend your silly post. ..and in the end a silly opiniated post is still just silly dumb.

Well, at least I know why we don't need Marshall on our schedule to be entertained on this board.
