Ironic. Oliver Luck lowered our expectations.

When OL became AD and made one of the worst personnel decisions ever in bringing in a HCIW while the existing HC was supposed to smile and say "Great idea boss!" After all, the coach at the time was too country, too corny, and could only turn out 9-3 teams. WVU needed something hip and new...something that would boost the program into a higher level. OL stoked the fires and pushed expectations to unreasonable levels.

Dana was the chosen lamplight to lead WVU out of the darkness into the bright lights of downtown Waco, Stillwater etc. He would, as OL assured us, take the Mountaineers to the next step and anything less than a NC would not be accepted...thus the move to football's offensive genius...Dana. That too hasn't turned out too well.

Ironic however. Fans now argue over whether 7-5,8-4 or even 6-6 constitute a good year. And even 5-7 would be acceptable of course until all the pieces come together! We all know the reason...better competition etc. Kind of like saying, yeah I got a D in math...but I had the toughest teacher!!!

Our expectations are lower now not higher...thanks to OL. Kinda like going to the prom with your cousin or hoping your stocks break even over the next few years!

Ironic. I don't even blame Dana for WVU's fan base's new love for accepting so so seasons. After all Oliver Luck got us to this new level.

Hank's back!

As always he forgets that boosters with big pockets wanted Stew out which was why Luck was hired in the first place.

Stew got the boot, then tried to throw WVU under the bus, much like he did with VMI when they canned him for his racist remarks to a player. Good ol' St. Stew a man who never did a thing wrong.

Spout that Fellowship of Christian Athletes pap like Stew and Bobby Bowden did and you can get away with nearly anything with the rubes in the stands. Both acted like jackleg TV preachers with college football teams.
