I work with a former 4-time state champ high school coach from Texas who is now a motion offense guru on the clinic circuit. He knows Huggs and knows I'm a WVU guy, so I got a text from him this afternoon that said "Easiest week of practice Huggs will ever have. Hardest Cal will have."

I said I understood why it would be easy for Huggs, but why so hard for Cal? He said UK staff will have to prepare them for the pressure without even introducing the possibility they are vulnerable or beatable. They have faced Arkansas' press this year without much trouble. Very, very fine line to walk, introducing doubt now is the last thing he wants to do...not prepping for the press could be a death wish. He thinks Cal will try to beat pressure with a lot of 1-on-1 using Harrison twins size, and focus on running secondary break stuff to get dunks when they beat it. He also said that while we all know that if they beat pressure handily we don't have any answers for them, if they can't beat the pressure off the bounce, they won't have much of a press breaker installed. Said if that happens you will see the panic button going off in their guards' eyes.

This same guy called me out (correctly and thoroughly) during a film session in front of about 10 coaches, so he is hardly a sunshine pumper.
