My point is, you are isolating Marshall fans in the state to Huntington..... which, I concur with. Your assumption is that if you go east from the border(Huntington only a river's width from KY. Motown an hour from PA), there are no Marshall fans. Does Marshall have any followers away from the small border area in the southeast? Assuming that you live in WV and choose to travel to Ohio to fatten yourself up on soft drinks just to avoid contributing to WVU Hospitals qualifies you as a special brand of STUPID. Especially considering that the sales tax that you pay to the state of Ohio contributes absolutely ZERO to the state where you live but it does make for some pretty good roads in OHIO and some outstanding hospitals in OHIO........but the fact is that the sales tax you are paying to the state of OHIO does absolutely nothing for us West Virginia people. How are they held hostage? They have access to a medical school ranked higher than University of Kentucky and is also closer.
As you pointed out, really no way for folks in the Tri State to avoid paying the pop tax and in turn subsidizing WVU, whether or not they use their inferior medical facilities!
The pop tax was created before Marshall ever dreamed of having a so-called medical school.......in fact it was created before Marshall designated itself as a "University".
