I saw a guy walking down the street in a blue WVU hoodie with a long beard and OH YEAH THATS F'CKING EVERYBODY. Seriously Morgantown hipsters, you look like every dude that's ever changed my oil.

I talked to a girl from San Diego that's in school here, and she said, "I'm from San Diego, and habbahbabbababhabahabanf'ck." I don't remember the rest, I was cackling too hard. Who does that?

There's some decent trim up here, but I'm about 15 years too old and one wife too married to make use of it. I guess I'll have to tick "beat off in an extended-stay hotel" off my bucket list.

I live in Huntington. I've lived here my entire life except for my college years at WVU. I like Huntington, but honestly, I like Morgantown much better. Since you hate WVU, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay in Morgantown.

Honestly the whole states a shithole. I grew up in Beckley, went to school in Huntington and since lived in Rocky Mount NC, Huntington again, Pinehurst NC, Charlotte NC, Huntington again and now Buffalo, NY. Last time I left WV I swore I'd never live there again, it's depressing.

I cover western NY (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse) for my job and it is depressing. From Dunkirk to the St Lawerence it is a forgotten land. All state funds go to NYC. No political clout, no industry, no hope. You should move for the sake of your family. Otherwise you are committing some sort of abuse or neglect. Don't let that happen.

lol I don't spend long in any one location. I've been here for almost three. It's education is better than any place I've been, and aside from Charlotte there's more to do. You're seeing it from I90, I'm seeing it from 3 years experience. My kids love it here but by June we will be gone, I'm almost certain of that.

Was up that way 2 years ago, and it's sad. I think the area in general is quite pretty (except for the City of Syracuse). Buffalo has a pretty decent downtown area, but has lost something like 15% of their population over the last 20 years. 30 years ago NY had the largest population in the US, and now it is 4th. Mass exodus of the western part of the state has played a role in that.

Sad thing is Marcellus Shale runs right thru that area and liberal politicians forbid any exploration or development. Only hope they had/have for a large sustainable economic boom and they said no thanks....."we would rather tax the rich innovators and redistribute it to the western half and make them dependant" Liberalism in a nutshell.

They missed the boat on Marcellus. Other formations have rendered Marcellus moot. They drilled a well in greene county that is 5 times the size of the largest marcellus drills.

I was skeptical when I first moved up here and it took awhile for me to get used to a lot that goes on here. But since we've settled in it's been nice. Like I said you see it from I90, but living here is not as bad as you think. Anything you want to do you can do it, it's the least taxed area of the state, housing is affordable, education system is excellent. The food here is superb and it's certainly a drinking town. My perks package for my job came with Bills and Bison season tickets, which we enjoy quite often. The people for the most part are great. I've lived in worse places for certain. Charlotte was nice but the traffic is a fvcking joke, I hated it.

I never had trouble with traffic in Charlotte unless I was headed up 77. I worked uptown and lived in Gleneagles so it was just Park Rd all the time.
